Lovely Antique Early19thC Burmese Jambupati Buddha Sculpture. Hand carved in hardwood then lacquer and finished in genuine Gold Leaf. Looking magnificent on his high altar dressed in his royal attire and lots of jewelry. It has very old termite damage to the base which is expected when left in an old family pagoda. The ear crowns are not quite symmetrical hence the low price. A great honest sculpture. From the estate of the Swiss-Hungarian art dealer/collector and author, Carl Laszlo [1923-2013]
