Very rare large heavy 17thC bronze temple Buddha with a lovely karma, and a really imposing item it is too. This one should bee seen. Quality casting made in the usual way with nice complex patination. The Seated figure of Buddha has a large flame ushnisha [tip broken] with a cavity that once held a precious gem stone which has long since been stolen.This is normal in some south east Asian country’s. We can find a nice gemstone if you wish. I purchased this sculpture from a French Antique Dealer that i have done a lot of business with over the years, he in turn bought it from an elderly lady in the city of Tour. This is an investment quality sculpture.
