Large 18thC Burmese Lacquer, Seated Buddha on Custom Made Stand. He is modelled seated in dhyanasana with tightly curled hair rising to a domed Ushnisha of which the top section is missing as normal. [one has been made]. The eyes are inset with conch shell. This stunning sculpture has the most relaxing serene face and should be seen in person. Very typical of its type. Lovely for Office, Yoga Room or Meditation. These are very much the overlooked investment section of Burmese Buddhist Sculpture.
