Stunning Quality Late 18thC Burmese Shan Buddha of typical form and was most likley originaly made in the Inle Lake Region [Nyaungshwe]. Hand carved then lacqured and finaly covered in real gold leaf. This has the relic niche in the rear of the tall tiered altar as in the photographs. It has some very old rot in the base of the altar which is normal when you think they were out in damp pagodas. The Ushnisha is a replacment and it is hard to find them with the original one.
