Rare Fragment of 18thC Copper Swedish Plate Money C 1720-1750 from the wreck of the Nicobar, A Danish east India Company ship which sank off South Africa in 1793. The wreck was rediscovered in 1987 by local fishermen, who salvaged some 3,000 copper plates. From a Uk collection of interesting items we purchased a while ago.
