A late 19th or early 20th century Indian cast brass lota vessel of large form and most likely from Orissa in eastern India. The handle is formed with cobra heads and the body has stylised peacocks.  It is a heavy casting and it stands on four ball feet and is detailed hand finished chasing. Great interior item.
