Old Hindu Brass Sculpture of Radu and Ketu. Quite a scarce sculpture and not often i come across one. This one has nice detail and lovely well used patination with traces of black lacquer. Rahu and Ketu are the two nodes of Moon. Rahu is the north node and Ketu is the south node. Rahu represents our surface level cravings and desires while Ketu represents the desire for higher wisdom and liberation. They are both called shadow planets and do not have a body of their own.
