A Very Fine Late 19thC Meiji Period Japanese Mulberry Wood Tansu Cabinet.  This is comprising of an arrangement of drawers and cupboards with lacquer interior, the corners neatly braced with Patinated Copper Bronze, The handles and knobs also copper bronze with a superb finish. These are top quality and most likely made by skilled artisans who made Samurai swords but after 1870 where banned from producing on mass these weapons as part of a series of reforms to modernize Japan and abolish the feudal class system. When you see this Tansu you will fall in love.
