The best Happy Face Buddha in a while! Early 20thC Large Cast Bronze Laos Buddha with nice earrings and inscriptions. This sculpture has an interesting patination, he has not been looked after, he has been in a flood i would guess, it had to be cleaned very carefully, also he has taken a blow to the back of the altar at the base and has caused a section of the casting core to break out, all has been stabilised now, it hardly notices he still looks great. Look closely at the nose, the tip is flattened a little. Then the face, he has the best face and smile so peaceful and calm [we all need it]. A Lovely piece for your yoga room or just to brighten up your day.
