A Larger Early 19thC Thai Silver Sheathed Buddha Sculpture, seated on a high double lotus altar. A very serene peaceful Buddha. It is made from solid silver sheet layered over a tree resin core. Originally this Buddha would have been made for a shrine within the home or garden. As is so normal with these Buddha Sculptures the Ushnisha [point on top of head] is missing. A good size sculpture which has been over polished a bit but will tone down in a short time.
