Late 18thC Large Burmese Shan Buddha Sculpture in hand carved wood with lacquer and gold leaf [only traces left]. A relic niche is in the back of the altar, but the base of the high altar has old termite damage and the Ushnisha is long since gone missing. A stunning rare sculpture of museum quality and a good investment item. This example was purchased from a collector in Gloucestershire.
